If Gottex is anything it is creative and inventive. This kaftan is a fine example of how to completely reinvent a garment that most would have imagined as being unable to be reimagined. Here, they have taken the kaftan, a garment that everyone is familiar with, and taken half of it away. Not literally, of course, but they have taken away its opacity and replaced it with sheer panels. This allows you to see the bikini or swimsuit you are wearing beneath, something that a kaftan has never allowed, whilst still keeping the sun's rays off you with the help of the sheer panel.
